Thanks for the response. I appreciate your desire for some privacy.
Thanks again for the POB guide. My system crashed and I lost my copy
just before Jimmy passed away.

Re: Climbing on PK lake-We have done some climbs across from Hell’s Gate. I recall a tall dihedral that went on clean gear and a couple of face climbs that were in the 5.9-5.10 range. We became the object of interest for the BRA.

Hey guys. My family lives in McKinney and I go to school at Baylor in Waco. Just curious as to why Tonkawa Falls is not on here. It’s roughly 2 hours from the Dallas area and 20 minutes from Waco. Compared to the 4ish hours that it takes to get to anywhere in Austin, it’s not too bad of a drive for some quality bouldering.

Hey,
Johnson County took over part of the old Ham Creek Park aka”Hostility Boulders”. They have fenced it off and now charge a cheap entrance fee
~$2-3 per day. They have fenced the Johnson Co. part only and you cannot get
to the Hill county part of the old Corp of Engineers park. Kinda looks like a prison camp now…
The best boulder was not in Jackson’s LS II guide. It is straight up hill from the
two boulders listed (maybe 250 feet). The stuff farther south is in Hill County
and access would be by boat.
